| Description: | Mike Barr's "Mantra" - pencils and inks by Dave Roberts. I haven't drawn Mantra for a very long time, but this seemed like as good a subject as any when it came time to get back on the horse, so to speak. This is a reduced size, low resolution version. The original was drawn on size A3 (that's about 11¼ x 16½ inches for the non-metric) fine grain heavy cartridge, which is considerably less expensive than Bristol, but softer and more prone to bruising from the pencil. The pencils were inked with PITT pens of various sizes, and Rotring graphic pens, which I found in a stationery shop for a reasonable price and wanted to try out. |
